    Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for your feedback concerning the problems you
experienced with a driver of a route 476 bus.

I can understand how frustrating it must have been you were
refused entry to a route 476 bus. I am sorry for any delay this
    caused to your journey.

Our drivers are trained to stop at stops where people are
waiting or when a passenger presses the bell. If another bus is
blocking the stop, the driver should wait until it has moved
away to ensure he doesn’t miss any waiting passengers. It is
disappointing to hear that these basic procedures weren’t
    followed on the day concerned.

In relation to dogs, driver should allow dogs on board the bus
so long as they are on a lead and under control unless he or she
perceives them to be a threat to other passengers or other dogs
already on board the bus. Unfortunately, this is down to driver
discretion and as a result the driver can refuse entry to dogs.
Nevertheless this should be explained fully to the passenger in
a polite and professional manner. I am sorry this was not the
    case on this occasion.

In view of your feedback, I have contacted First who operates
route 47 on our behalf. They will remind drivers of the correct
procedures for allowing dog on board the bus.

Thank you for taking the time to contact me. I hope my comments
are helpful. If you have any further queries, please don’t
    hesitate to contact me.

    Yours sincerely,

    Customer Experience

Dear sir or Madam,This does not sort the situation out ,it has happened again ,this leaves me in a position,I am going to have to consider my options as i can no longer depend on the 476 bus to either allow my 2 small dogs on , i will now have to get a car,i am also going to contact my local mp as well as the mayor as i am sure that they will have something to say on the matter of adding new cars on the road.mr ridewood

Tfl need to grow a pair and decide whether dogs are allowed on buses or not!!

Is there a section here against the misuse of power, of an operator using the word "unfortunately" to assert a policy of their own that they are capable of altering?
