For months the station car park has had a severe drainage problem....a small lake in the centre of the area. Several email requests to London Midland and Network Rail have achieved nothing. Flooding causes passengers to park in local streets annoying residents, Action is needed urgently.

Dear Mr Humphries
Thank you for your e-mail regarding the issue of drainage in the station
car park at Alvechurch.
I was sorry to hear that you have found part of the car park to be
regularly flooded.
I have since been advised that Network Rail is due to commence the
installation of additional drainage within the car park at the end of this
month. We are of course hopeful that will improve the situation once and
for all.
I should explain that as a train operating company we merely lease the
stations from the landlords, Network Rail. Our jurisdiction would be to
clear any blocked drains and in some cases to undertake minor repairs, any
new installations or upgrades are handled by the landlord.
I thank you once again for contacting us.
Yours sincerely,
Dennis Taplin
