I have used the Metrolink tram from Altrincham to Manchester three times in the last two months to attend evening events in Manchester. On each occasion, I have parked the car in the long stay car park off Oakfield Road and crossed the rail lines by the overbridge to Platform 1 to catch the tram.
Since at least June 9th, the lights on the staircase from Metrolink Platform 1 to the overbridge have not been working, although the lights on the bridge itself and on the stairs to National Rail platforms 2, 3 and 4 are fully operational.
As there is no other illumination, the staircase is very difficult to negotiate in the dark, and I would suggest presents a considerable safety hazard. Can something be done to fix this before someone injures themselves ?
I am not sure whether this issue should be directed to Northern Rail, or to TfGM. If the latter, I would be pleased if you could forward it to the appropriate person.
I have previously tried raising this through the Northern Rail twitter site (on 2nd July), but have received no reply.

By pure co-incidence, exactly the same problem was reported by Catherine Kenny just 44 minutes after I reported it on 29th July.
I was a little surprised that you didn't link our reports in some way at the time, as it may have increased the pressure to get it fixed.
However, as I only use the station from time to time, I can't say whether its been fixed yet or not.
