Mark Jones

We were waiting to catch the 18:05 bus to Northampton, and the bus was 20 minutes late arriving, The bus arrived, and then the driver went off to do something, he was 5 minutes late and eventually we left Leicester 30 minutes late.

Upon arrival in Northampton, we had missed the last bus to the station, and had to wait 40 minutes for another, We were unsure of the bus stands and the driver of the X7 didn't know either (he just said catch a bus that was prefixed 'D'), so we had to guess which bus stand we needed.

    Dear Mark,

    Thank you for your e-mail in relation to our X7 service, I am
    sorry you have found cause for complaint.

    Please accept my apologies for the delay in replying.

    Through the information you have provided I have been able to
    investigate the matter fully.

    The service was delayed to heavy traffic congestion in Leicester
    City Centre, which we are aware has been causing increasingly
    delays. This has been passed to our commercial department who
    compile our timetables. I have spoken to the driver concerned
    and he informs me that on his arrival in Leicester he needed to
    use the toilet which unfortunately meant the service was delayed
    a little further, he has been advised to inform his passengers
    if this situation occurs again. Also I have advised him on that
    when a passenger asks a question in relation to other services
    whin in Northampton Bus Station and is unsure of the answer to
    direct them to our inspectors cabin who can give the correct
    advice.

    Once again please accept my apologies for the delay in replying
    and also the inconvenience this incident may have caused you.
