Description
Merz Browne
Hi,
Can someone please explain why after 6.51am and before 8.45 are there no trains from brighton stopping at clapham junction ? Similarly between 17.12 & 18.42 (ish) requiring passengers looking to change at clapham needing to get 3 trains, and greatly increasing the likelihood of being late/missing a connection & always having to stand for at least one element of the journey? The cost of going into London zone 1 and changing is prohibitive to say the least.
A lot of people need to get to clapham as I see them all the time!
Many thanks

Dear Merz
Thank you for contacting us on 30 October 2012 concerning the
lack of services running from Brighton and stopping at Clapham
Junction. Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding
to your enquiry.
Services are prioritised to provide the maximum usage of
available carriages for a fast service at peak times, between
Brighton and London. You can, however, use other routes to get
to Clapham Junction during the time period gaps you are quoting
with an addition change at either Haywards Heath or Hove. The
07:06 from Brighton changes at Hove and arrives at Clapham
Junction at 08:10. There are also some services during the gap
period you quote with a change at Haywards Heath: Departing
Clapham Junction at 17:53 and arriving at Brighton 19:02. The
18:23 from Clapham Junction changes at Hove and arrives at
Brighton at 19:28. For more details check on our website and
add "via" under "more options".
