Description

Allan Wagner

This isn't a major problem, but it is certainly a pain for passengers, and possibly drivers.

I have no idea what the driver can see, or how well he can see people waiting at this bus stop in the dark. A while back, I was hailing a bus, they just seemed to pass without stopping. This evening, I was waiting at the bus stop again. I hailed the bus in fairly good time, but I noticed he didn't seem to slow down nor signal until the last minute. All of the sudden, he flashed then almost did an emergency stop.

I've never had an issue with any other bus stops on New Road, and the only obvious reason I can think of, is overhanging trees or a lack of street lighting in this area.

I'm keen to have the council take a look at this bus stop, and to consider what can be done to improve night time visibility. Imagine if it were the very last bus of the night or a vulnerable passenger?
