I've just boarded a London Overground train with my bicycle and tripped and fell on the floor. It was the northbound platform. Luckily I ended up with only a minor graze below the knee. Why is the platform so far away from the train, and are there any plans to improve the platform height?

I'm an able bodied person, I'd be worried how someone less abled would manage.
