Today I had a very unpleasant experience on the bus to Chester. When I got on to the bus to pay for my ticket, a lady was still making her way off the bus. Before I got on a waited a few minutes for people to get off and then stepped on as the young man in front of me insisted I went before him as I had a pram with my 2 year old daughter in in. When I saw the woman make her way off the bus i pulled the pram over to the side as it was too late to get off as there was a queue of people behind me waiting to get on. The lady getting off the bus was carrying a lot of luggage including a big bin liner containing a very large, bulky box. She had clearly decided to get off at the stop very late as she was there was a large time game between the time the last person made their way off the bus , to when she made her way off. Any how, as the lady made her way passed me she hit my daughter in the nose with her big box in the bin liner and caused distress to her. I notified the lady she hit her in the face and she showed no sympathy or apology. The bus driver then became very rude an applied "If you waited for everybody to get off the bus first it wouldn't have happened." in a very harsh tone. I replied to him to say that I did not see the lady getting up to get off as she clearly decided to get off last minute. I then asked for my ticket. The driver asked which one in a harsh tone also. The driver had a very unhappy facial expression after the incident. When he gave me my change from my cash, I wasn't paying much attention as I was upset, and he just starred at me until i picked up the money, and let me walk away without picking up the ticket. Luckily the lady behind me called me and gave me my ticket. The driver made me feel extremely awkward being on the bus and each stop I considered getting off as I was very upset after the way he had spoken and acted towards me. The driver who seemed in no better mood, and seemed no more polite and friendly towards any other of the riders, passed to people in the Bagillt village bus stop, and drove straight passed them. They wanted to get on the bus as they were standing at the road side. They were clearly angry and upset the bus hadn't stopped and looked fairly confused. I finally decided to get off the bus at Broughton park as I felt I could no longer sit on the bus for any longer. To every person that got on the bus, the bus driver never gave friendly service from what I could see, which was a fair view as I was at the very front in full view of the drivers service window. I'm unsure why the driver acted this way towards me, I feel he may have targeted me as i'm a young mother and felt if it was a 30 year old with a pram rather than an a fairly young looking 18year old, he would have had more respect. I did not get the bus back as I was afraid the same driver would be driving the bus and didn't wish to face another unpleasant experience so I phoned my father to pick me and my daughter up who travelled from Brynford, Nr Holywell. I understand that in no doubt no action will be taken from my complaint, but I decided I would inform who ever this may concern. Thanks for taking the time to read my email.

What a dreadful experience.
I would imagine Arriva Cymru would want to interview this driver about his attitude, not just to you but to other passengers as well. However they would need more information about the journey than you have supplied.
If something like this happens again, please make a note of where you boarded the bus, at what time, and try and get either the fleet number or the registration number of the bus. A brief description of the driver is helpful too.

Dear Sarah
Mark Jones - FixMyTransport Volunteer here (I don't work for Arriva).
I'm sorry to see that Arriva have asked you to carry on this correspondence offline. They didn't ask me to contact them offline when I complained about the 12.
We don't believe there is any good reason for an operator not to engage via FixMyTransport and so we encourage our users to reply (via the yellow 'email' button at the top of this page, or via the 'reply' button at the foot of the page you click through to from your ""you've had a reply"" email) to say that FMT is your preferred method of contact.
However, if you do prefer to do as Arriva ask and take the conversation offline, please do come back and update your page with any progress you make - that way you still get the benefit of other people being able to track your problem and add their support if it's pertinent to them.
Good luck!

Hi Sarah (and all)
Having used the 11 monthly over the last 6 months, I can sincerely say the 11 now has 99% of drivers who are happy and friendly, there are still one or two rude ones, but I can say that they are a minority now.
I hope your experiences on the 11 have improved too Sarah, Did you contact Arriva as I'd advised?
Best Wishes
Mark
