“Please help me persuade Megabus to publish timetables” – Dave H

Description

Dave H

You recent announcement of additional services to Birmingham from Edinburgh is only partly useful.

For many of us we can use a combination of bus and rail services to achieve our goal of a complete journey, and this may be vai a variety of permutations. To do this we need timetables - departure times from places for services to other places. We don't want to keep taking a stab at a website and track through to a booking form only to find that the service whcih looked promising runs at 3 am rather than 8 pm

I want to see all the express coach service timetables available to browse and even download. You can post them at coach stops so surely you can produce a listing to work from.

Having this knowledge is valuable, because I knew there was a coach service from Edinburgh to Glasgow on Sunday morning , I was able to make a connection which would otherwise have been severed by the delay to the train service. If I know there is a late coach departure from Birmingham on a Saturday I know I have a backstop against missing the last train (a 15 hour wait for the next service) and getting back for the following morning. Other options can be managing to reach Carlisle as furthest North rail and catching the coach if spaces are available, again saving a long wait, often in the cold
