“Please help me persuade First Eastern Counties (First Suffolk & Norfolk) to re-think it's attitude towards disability.” – Terence S Carter

Description

Terence S Carter

Attempting to board First Group 88 to Stowmarket at Tower ramparts bus station Ipswich. Driver refused to lower the ramp rudely snapping at my wife and I claiming against our protests that there was no gap and the bus was as close as it was going to get and would make no difference. Clearly this woman has never used a wheelchair, the front wheel became caught in the gap taking both my wife and myself struggling in the chair to get the wheels free to board the bus. No apology was given and the driver continued to complain about us wasting too much time hanging about still claiming there was no gap in an accusing voice. When my wife then went to pay with a note as we had no change she was further snapped at. The bad attitude was further used at other passengers coming down the stairs mistakenly making her believe they wanted an earlier stop further "wasting (her) time hanging about".

Appallingly rude inexcusable bad attitude towards disabled wheelchair.

Must be the same driver who just drove off at Ipswich station instead of letting me on which would have taken a few seconds and be of no danger to anyone...but you won't get anywhere with your complaint, they will just say that their driver wasn't rude....they WILL believe him over you...and they will say something stupid like there was a health and safety issue or some other issue,it's terrible their don't care attitude....Good luck.
