Description

Richard W

I feel that this route needs to be re-introduced due to the fact that the people of Earlswood need need a frequent bus service to Solihull, subsidy for the service is seriously needed from Centro.
I know that there was a lot of disappointment in passengers travelling to this area.

    Hi Richard,

I've sent your message to both Grosvenor and Centro - good luck getting a satisfactory response. Meanwhile, the more names you can gather on this page, the more support you'll be able to show there is.

    Dear Richard W

    S14 Bus Service

Thank you for your email requesting a bus service between
    Earlswood and Solihull.

The S14 bus service was operated commercially by Grosvenor
Coaches. They took the decision to withdraw the service in August
this year. Normally when an operator withdraws a commercially
operated bus service it is due to low passenger usage.

However, you may wish to contact Grosvenor Coaches direct to
ascertain why they took this decision. There contact details are

    Grosvenor Coaches
    142 Priory Road
    Hall Green
    Birmingham

    Tel. no. 0121 474 6888
Email: [Grosvenor Coaches problem reporting email]

Centro does subsidise bus services throughout the 7 metropolitan
districts of the West Midlands (Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry,
Walsall, Wolverhampton, Sandwell and Dudley). We receive our
subsidy from the 7 councils named above.

I am sure you are aware that Earlswood is in Warwickshire.
Therefore if no bus operator wishes to provide a service on a
commercial basis then it would be for Warwickshire County Council
to consider whether they would like to subsidise a service to Solihull.
They can be contacted through their website at

    http://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/publictra...

I hope this information is helpful and thank you for contacting Centro.

    Kind regards

    Nick Withnall
