I just checked every stop on the 344 route in both directions and it looks like only one bus is running on the entire route! No 344 buses have passed Fenchurch Street in at least an hour. I phone TFL Buses and they also saw there were no buses. The agent phoned the controller who said the buses are backed up on Gracechurch St due to repaving. However, Gracechurch St is completely clear in both directions -- I saw it myself. The buses should be stopping every 10-12 minutes as advertised on a Saturday (for 30th Dec - today). Where are all the buses?

Dear Sir/Madam
Thank you for your email regarding the frequency of services on
route 344. I would like to start by apologising for the delay
and frustration caused.
I appreciate some time has passed since you initially contacted
us, and that it is likely you have already had the answers to
your questions. However, having noted your comments, I have
asked Abellio to look into the concerns you have raised. They
have advised that delays were occurring on this route from 30-31
December. This was due to various utility works which affected
the Junction of Fenchurch Street to Camomile Street.
Subsequently, New Year's Eve celebrations resulted in extensive
road closures and delays due to extra passenger loadings.
Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience caused as a
result. However, I can inform you that the works you refer to
on Gracechurch Street are due to end on 24 February. Hopefully
after this point your difficulties will come to an end, and the
services will be running in accordance with the scheduled
timetable. If this is not the case after this time, please do
let me know and I will look into this matter further for you.
We endeavour to provide a convenient service for all of our
routes, as we understand our passengers are reliant on these
services. I appreciate how frustrating it can be when a bus
does not arrive as scheduled, however, as traffic and road
conditions can change unexpectedly, delays are occasionally
experienced.
Please be assured that we do want to provide you with the very
best service, and your comments are very welcome in helping us
to achieve this. We will therefore continue to work with our
operators to address the issues of the services running late and
discuss various ways of reducing delays.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to contact us. Should
you require any further assistance in the future, please feel
free to contact me again.
Yours sincerely
Sally Green
