What is the point in having a low liner bus when the driver can't be bothered to lower for a mother pushing her 8week old baby.. Instead the driver Sits and watched he struggle what is goin to be done.. These drivers are the most ignorant people around especially the one driving the 13 at 1230 goin from Middlesbrough bus station to the oval!!

    I Do Believe That Bus Drivers Are Not Allowed to Get out of their Seats to help people on a bus, I Don't think they are even allowed to Lift/Extend the ramp on the buses, Something to do with Health & Safety.

    Thank you for taking the time to contact Stagecoach North East
    regarding the conduct of one of our driving team in
    Middlesbrough Centre on  4th November 2011. Your complaint has
    been passed to myself by our regional Head Office in Sunderland.

    With regards to the incident, which took place that afternoon; I
    can understand your annoyance and I sincerely apologise for any
    upset or inconvenience, which may have been caused as a result.
    As I am sure you can appreciate, incidents of this nature are
    rare in occurrence and incidents, such as the one highlighted in
    your initial email, are always treated with the utmost
    importance.

    As I am sure you are aware, the conduct of our drivers are
    something Stagecoach invest much resource in, and I am therefore
    disappointed to learn of this particular incident where our
    driver did not lower the platform for you. I can assure you that
    the driver in question has been identified and will be advised
    accordingly to ensure an incident of this nature doesn’t occur
    again.  

    Therefore, please accept my sincere apologies for any upset or
    inconvenience that may have been caused on this occasion and
    should you have any further problems then please do not hesitate
    to contact me.
