Initial problem

WE are waiting for new TIMETABLES to be placed in the holders at the BUS STOPS in Hedon. Can you tell us when these will be placed?

    EYMS Ltd Marketing Manager, Claire Robinson, sent the following reply:

    Thanks for your message.

    As you may know, East Riding of Yorkshire Council have recently decided to end their production of roadside publicity in the area, which means that EYMS have had to take on publicity for nearly all bus stops in the county. As this means we now have several hundred extra stops to maintain, we are trying our best to get round to them all, but as you can appreciate this is taking some time. We are getting a new software system in place to produce roadside publicity, and we have recently taken on a Publicity Assistant who will be responsible for timetables at bus stops, and we are trying to get things updated as fast as we can.

    In the meantime, apologies for the blank cases - we thought it was better to have no information in them than incorrect information, so we took the out-of-date timetables out when the services changed.

    I hope this helps reply to your question. We hope to have the new Hedon information up soon.

    Hi Ray - well their explanation is very honest, but you could ask them the following: if they sent someone round to remove all the old timetables, why not leave a copy of the explanation they just left you in each holder? No information might be better than wrong information, but an explanation about why there IS no information would be even better! -- Tom
