Initial problem
I am a regular user of Northern Rail, using a monthly rail pass I travel at least 5 days a week on the Wigan North Western service from Prescot at 8:04.
Most days during the last week there has only been two carriages on this particular route. There are no seats available when it gets to Prescot which means there is no alternative except for standing.
This is not acceptable when paying over £60 a month. It is a ridiculous situation and one which needs to be addressed.
The conductor has to apologise each day whilst trying to get people in an already crowded situation to make room for more travellers to get on at other stops.
More carriages are needed for this route at this time of the day.
