Initial problem
I am a Solicitor who commutes to Leeds every day from Greenfield Rail Station in Saddleworth. I pick up the Northern Rail service that terminates at Huddersfield to then pick up the Transpennine to continue on my journey to Leeds
I got the 7.19 am Northern Rail service yesterday morning 26th September 2012 from Greenfield, which showed a delay until 7.26 am and did not in fact turn up until 7.31 am! When I asked the conductor on board why the train was late he said ' I am not the driver'..excellent customer service response.... As a result of the lateness of the Northern Rail service the Transpennine due at Huddersfield at 7.45 am was late as a result as following this late Northern Rail service. Late for a meeting in Leeds!!!
This morning the 8.03 am service from Greenfield to Huddersfield cancelled with no explanation. Many of the Huddersfield and Leeds travellers had to get the Manchester Victoria 8.03 service to take them to Stalybridge for the Transpennine service.
Nearly every week out of my five day travel trains are delayed or cancelled. Not good enough...we rely on public transport to get us to and from work on time!!!!
Is this what I pay my expensive season ticket for????
