Initial problem

I am a regular user of Droitwich Spa train station, which is generally very well maintained by London Midland. On recent trips I have noticed that all of station lights are on, even during the middle of a bright and sunny day. This leaves a dozen or so powerful lights burning away when there is no need for them to be on.

I appreciate that it is better for the lights to always be on rather than off, however with rail fares ever increasing it is important that this revenue is available for investment in the network rather than being wasted on unnecessary electricity costs.

Could I also ask you to consider putting a cover over the electronic departure boards. When the sun shines directly on them (as it often does in the afternoon), the signs are completely unreadable.

The lighting issue has now been fixed, however it would still be sensible for London Midland to install some covers for the information boards
