Initial problem
My sister was travelling from Watford Junction via Stafford to Liverpool Lime Street, on London Midland. I am originally from Watford but live on the Wirral now have done so for 10 years. I have made this exact same journay many times over the last few years& it has never ever cost me more than £23, when my sister arrived at Watford Junction to begin her journey& purchase her ticket the lady serving her was extremely rude& insisted that my sister couldn't have possibly paid so little for this journey& subsequently charged her £37, ironically the lady who served has been the same women each time my sister has travelled up to see me& she purposefully went to her window as she knew that she had always sold her the same ticket(my sister isn't always confident travelling! I made this journey from Limestreet to Watford, only at the end of August& it only cost me £23! The times stated that you can travel on this saver open return ticket are between 10a.m& 3p.m& my sister was travelling on the 10.01a.m train! The lady who served her insisted(very rudely) that she couldn't ever have possibly paid so little& if she had travelled after 11a.m it would have cost £28! I would like to complain about the woman who was so rude I obviously do not know her name but the date was 19/10/12& it would have been just before 10a.m! I am sure there will be a record of staff who were working at that time! Thankyou for your time!

Hello Madeleine
I am one of the FixMyTransport volunteers
I just wanted to state that operators can change their restrictions on the tickets. I have just checked the National Rail website and I have the following for single tickets
For the 10:01 train, the restriction code is SK (valid after 08:45) http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/pdfs/SVS_SK.pdf The ticket is Off Peak Single (SVS).
For the 11:01 train, the restriction code is LK (valid after 10:30) http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/pdfs/OPS_LK.pdf The ticket is Super Off Peak Single
I hope this helps.
Kind regards
