Initial problem

me, my son and his friend booked train tickets a week in advance to travel to nottingham to watch notts county versus donny rovers. we picked the train time so we would arrive in good time. we arrived at lincoln to be told that our connecting train would not be arriving and the train that was due to depart an hour previously was still at the station. we were told to get on it as it would be the first to depart. after taking our seats we were then told to move as they were splitting the train. at about 1pm a member of staff came aboard to tell us there was a breakdown on the line and the train would not depart for at least another 90 minutes.. this would mean we would not make the game. we had paid almost £80 for our football tickets so we made the decision to find alternative transport. there were no buses so we hailed a cab outside the station and had to pay £65 to get to nottingham. we feel the rail network should have put buses on to bypass the blockage and we would like our cab fare refunded along with a proportion of our rail fare. i know there were other rovers fans on the train who missed the game. i have kept all the tickets and receipts as proof
