Initial problem

En route from Lancaster to London on the 1736 train on Monday 29 October following the incident at Apsley, my daughter and her fellow passengers were asked to leave the train at Preston as it was "being sent to Glasgow". They were given little information and my daughter went to the Information Kiosk to try and obtain some. Whoever was on duty saw fit to answer my daughters various questions with the phrase "how long is a piece of string" over and over again until my daughter could do nothing else but leave the kiosk. Obvously it would have been beneficial to the kiosk to have been given information to pass on to passengers. But failing this, further training of this woman is needed ro provide her with a few key phrases of apology and reassurance.
