As from 28 April 2013 Avon buses are withdrawing the last bus from Chester for the residents of Neston. It departs from the City at 18:35 (No.24 Bus Service) and is relied upon by those finishing work at 18:00. This has caused a problem for commuters, as there is no train service from Chester to Neston.
It is belied that Council cuts in funding have influenced the decision. Although this may be the case, it would appear that the bus company have made the decision to cut this specific service. It would therefore be appreciated if Avon buses would cooperate and reconsider their decision to withdraw this service given that it is relied upon by commuters and there are options to take off other buses throughout day.
If plans go ahead to withdraw the last bus, the company is also at risk of losing revenue from the inward journey!
IT FEELS AS THOUGH THE COMMUTERS THAT HAVE CONSISTANTLY SUPPORTED THE COMPANY ARE BEING PUNISHED!
Could you please continue to provide this service!
